QALQILYA, April 3, 2017 (WAFA) – Three Palestinian families Monday suffered from tear gas suffocation during raids by Israeli forces in the town of Jayyous, east to the city of Qalqilya, in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Abdullah al-Khatib, from Jayyous municipality, told WAFA that Israeli forces have been carrying out raids in Jayyous for a month now on a daily basis, noting that forces break into the town from evening hours until the morning after they close towns with checkpoints.
He said Israeli forces shot tear gas bombs randomly at citizens’ homes, causing civilian casualties.
Casualties were moved to Darwish Nazzal hospital in Qalqilya.
Al-Khatib added that a few Palestinian families suffered from tear gas suffocation after Israeli forces shot gas canisters directly at their homes. Some of the casualties were moved to the hospital while others were given field treatment by the Red Crescent crews in the city.
