JERICHO, December 17, 2016 (WAFA) – Moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem will destroy the peace process, Saeb Erekat, secretary general of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, said on Saturday.
He said in a statement after meeting foreign officials at his Jericho office that statements by the appointed US ambassador to Israel, David Freidman, regarding moving the embassy to Jerusalem and his support for settlements could lead the region into violence, chaos, extremism and bloodshed if they are implemented.
