RAMALLAH, July 20, 2016 (WAFA) - The overall Wholesale Price Index (WPI) in the Palestinian Territory reached 125.09 in the second quarter of 2016, indicating an increase by 1.01% compared to the first quarter of 2016, Wednesday said a press release by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

WPI for local products reached 127.40 in the second quarter of 2016, which indicates an increase by 1.94% compared with the first quarter of 2016.

WPI for imported products reached 121.63 in the second quarter of 2016, registering an increase by 0.96% compared to the first quarter of 2016.

Changes in WPI in the second quarter of 2016 were traced back to changes in the prices of major activities compared to the previous quarter, including an increase in the prices of manufacturing group, fishing,  and agricultural goods, by 1.19%, 5.52%, and 0.68%, respectively.
