NEW YORK, June 7, 2025 (WAFA) – UNRWA Communications Director Juliette Touma said the current aid distribution model in the Gaza Strip is not working. “It’s as if you’re inviting people to their own death,” she said.
She stressed that the only way to deliver humanitarian aid at scale and safely to the people of Gaza is through the United Nations, including UNRWA.
She said that UNRWA’s impact during the ceasefire was tangible and urged that the agency be allowed to carry out its work.
