HEBRON, June 6, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Monday detained nine Palestinians, including a university lecturer and a minor, and summoned another during overnight raids across the West Bank, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society.
Forces detained four Palestinians after storming and ransacking their houses in the southern West Bank district of Hebron.
The detainees were identified as Jawad al-Ja‘bari, Hatem Dofash, Adnan Abu-Thabta, a lecturer at Al-Quds Open University, and Raed al-Mutawer.
Two Palestinians were detained from Ramallah and al-Bireh district. They were identified as Shu‘aib Khalil, 24, and Aws Abed, 19.
In the northern West Bank, forces detained Bashar Ghaban, 21, during a predawn raid into Qalqilia.
They also detained Ibrahim Manasra, 19, after storming and thoroughly ransacking his family house in Wadi Fukin village, west of Bethlehem.
During the overnight raid, forces handed Karam Manasra, 19, a notice ordering him to appear before intelligence in the Gush Etzion detention and interrogation center.
Forces also set up a checkpoint at the western entrance of Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, inspecting Palestinian-registered vehicles and beating up a passenger.
In Jerusalem, police detained 13-year-old Hani Hamayel from Jaba‘ town, northeast of the city.
