RAMALLAH, July 24, 2025 (WAFA) – French lawmaker Thomas Portes reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, stating that “the full liberation of Palestine is inevitable” and that “nothing will stop it—not Israel nor anyone else.”
French President Emmanuel Macron had previously announced France’s intention to recognize an independent Palestinian state, stressing the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza to protect civilians and deliver humanitarian aid.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas welcomed the French stance, praising Macron’s decision as a “brave and timely step” that aligns with international legitimacy and strengthens the path toward a two-state solution.
