UPDATE: Israel Detains 20 Palestinians in West Bank

NABLUS, May 30, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained at least 20 Palestinians, including a woman, during predawn raids across the West Bank, according to security sources.

In Nablus, in northern West Bank, forces broke into the village of Beit Furik, searched multiple homes and detained a Palestinian, Shadi Mleitat, 33, and his wife, Mais Mleitat, 28, after raiding and searching their home.

Army also stormed the nearby village of Salem, where they detained Khalil Hamdan, a local Palestinian, and his son, Manhal. The soldiers also assaulted and beat up Hamdan’s other son, Samuel, who was treated at the scene.

The attacking soldiers also raided other homes in the village and sabotaged their furniture.

Meanwhile, army broke into the nearby village of Baqat al-Hatab, where they detained Amjad Odeh, Majed Odeh, 41, and Mohammad Hamad Odeh, 27.

Israeli troops also stormed the village of Roujib, nearby, and detained four Palestinians, identified as Mahmoud Abu Esheh, Mazouz Abu Esheh, Waleed Rawajbeh, and Marouf Dweikat. The troops raided and searched three homes in the village.

In the meantime, Israeli army broke into the city of Bethlehem, in southern West Bank, and the nearby village of Beit Fajjar, where they detained Essa Huremi, 30, and Fadi Huremi, 20, Mahmoud Shafout, 20, and Anwar Taqatqa, 15.

In Jenin, in northern West Bank, forces detained a Palestinian, 21-year-old Mumen Nasharti, after raiding his family house in Jenin refugee camp.

Army also detained Belal Hammad, 16, Amr Zaid, 17, from Ramallah area; Emran Shreim, 17, from Tulkarm; and Ahmad Abu Fara, 20, from Hebron district.
