Israeli Forces Detain Six Palestinians from West Bank

JERUSALEM, May 26, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained six Palestinians from a number of West Bank districts, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society, bringing the total number up to eight.

Forces detained a Palestinian at the major checkpoint of Jaba‘, near the Qalandia crossing into Jerusalem. The detainee was identified as Muhammad Hamayel.

They also detained Shadi Muhsen, 30, and Daoud Ayyad, 40, from Abu Dis town, east of Jerusalem.

Another Palestinian identified as ‘Ala Baydas was detained from al-Judeira village, northwest of Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, forces detained Amjad Samhan and Hasan al-Jurf, 27, from the northern West Bank district of Nablus.

In the meantime, forces briefly detained two Palestinian girls in the vicinity of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron’s Old City.

The girls were identified as Mahera Burqan and Sarah Sader, both 12.

This came several hours after two other Palestinians, including a 15-year-old teen, were detained from Nablus.
