Israel Carries Out Two Airstrikes on Gaza

GAZA, May 26, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli warplanes on Thursday carried out airstrikes on two different locations in central and southern Gaza Strip, in yet another act of aggression against the besieged enclave, local sources said.

WAFA correspondent said Israeli F16 fighter jets fired two missiles targeting a location northwest of Rafah, in southern Gaza Strip, and caused partial damages to adjacent homes.

Warplanes also hit with missiles another location near Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza Strip, and caused damages to nearby homes.

There were no reports of casualties in the two coinciding incidents.

The Israeli military claimed the predawn attacks came after a projectile, which was fired from Gaza, landed in an open area in southern Israel.

In 2014, Israel launched a relentless war on Gaza which claimed the lives of about 2,200 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and left more than 10,000 injured. Hundreds of thousands others were displaced by the aggression.
