BETHLEHEM, May 25, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces overnight Wednesday detained at least 12 Palestinian civilians during raids across the West Bank and Jerusalem, according to local and security sources.
In Jerusalem, Israeli police broke into al-Issawiya neighborhood, on the city’s northern outskirts, and detained Mohammad Ashraf Abul-Hummus and Mansour Nasser, two local Palestinians.
Israeli forces also stormed the nearby town of Abu Dis, east of Jerusalem, where they detained two Palestinians, including a medical doctor who was identified as Dawoud Ayyad. The other one was idfentified as Shadi Muhsen.
In Bethlehem district, in southern West Bank, Israeli troops stormed the village of Taqou, where they detained at least one Palestinian, identified as Muhannad Beden, 21. The army raided several commercial stores in the village and sabotaged their surveillance cameras.
Army also stormed Beit Fajjar, nearby, and detained two Palestinians minors, after raiding and searching their homes. They were identified as Muhannad Beden, 21, Abdul-Qader Taqatqa, 14, and Issam Taqatqa, 14.
Meanwhile in Hebron area, Israeli forces broke into the city and the nearby town of Yatta and al-Fawwar refugee camp. The forces detained Malek al-Barbarawi, 24, Mohammad Yousef Tubasi, 21, and Naeem Rajabi, 22.
In Nablus, in northern West Bank, forces stormed Askar and Balata refugee camps near the city and detained two Palestinians, Hamza Jaara, 22, and Abdur-Rahman Dwekat, 21. The two are students at Najah National University.
In the meantime, Israeli troops detained two Palestinians from the Qalqilia district. They were identified as Mohammad Shahin, 17, Mohammad Majed Dawoud, 22.
Three others were also detained in Ramallah area. They were identified as Mohammad Jamal Nafe, 17, Mahdi Abdul-Aziz, and Mohammad Addasi, 25.
In Salfit area, in central West Bank, Israeli forces stormed the village of Kafr Eddik, where they detained Ameed Deek, Hasan Ahmad, Nabil Deek, Yousef Deek, Izzat Ahmad, Ahmad Rashid Ahmad, Yousef Deek, Diaa Aqel, and Mohammad Younes.
