Israeli Forces Detain Nine Palestinians from West Bank

JERUSALEM, March 17, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Thursday overnight detained nine other Palestinians from a number of West Bank districts, said the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

Five Palestinians were detained from Jerusalem, two others from Nablus, another from Ramallah and another from Hebron.

In Jerusalem district, forces detained four Palestinians during a predawn raid into Beit Duqqu village, northwest of Jerusalem city. The detainees were identified as Amin Rayyan, Yousef Rayyan, Muhammad Murar and Sayel Rayyan.

Another Palestinian identified as Sameh Najib was detained from Beit Hanina town, north of Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, forces detained Muhammad al-Mimi from Ramallah, north of Jerusalem.

To the north of Ramallah, in Nablus, soldiers detained Muhammad Qadus, 15, from Iraq Burin village, southwest of the city.

Two others were identified as Muhammad Suleiman and Abu Hamadana were detained from Asira Ash-Shamaliya.    

In the southern West Bank district of Hebron, forces detained Farid Jaber, whose son, Qasem was shot dead recently near Kiryat Araba settlement.

Jaber, 18, was shot dead along Ameer al-Junaidi after they purportedly opened fire at soldiers waiting at a bus station near Kiryat Araba settlement.

This came as forces also detained six others, bringing the total number of detainees Thursday to 15.
