HEBRON, March 16, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Wednesday detained five Palestinians during night and predawn raids across the West Bank districts, said security sources.
Forces detained two Palestinians after storming and ransacking their family houses in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron.
Muhammad Awad, spokesperson for local Anti-Settlement Committee, identified them as Ahmad Abu-Judeh, 19, and Khalil Abu-Ayyash, 21.
Forces also stormed and searched a house belonging to a local Palestinian in Hebron city.
To the north of Hebron, in Jerusalem district, police detained a Palestinian minor from Shu‘fat refugee camp, northeast of Jerusalem, purportedly for possessing a knife.
Israeli media reported that the teen allegedly “attempted to jump over the security turnstile at the checkpoint to avoid security check before crossing into Jerusalem,” before he was stopped.
It also reported that the minor allegedly “concealed a knife” which he intended to use for carrying out a stabbing attack.
In Ramallah district, in central West Bank, soldiers detained Bilal Hamed, 23, at a flying checkpoint at the entrance of Silwad town, east of Ramallah city.
To the north of Ramallah, in Nablus district, a Palestinian teen was detained while he attempted to cross Huwwara military checkpoint, south of Nablus city.
The teen was identified as Ja‘far ‘Amleh, 19, from Qabalan town, south of the city.
