Israeli Soldiers Injure Palestinian Man Involved in Alleged Attack near Hebron

HEBRON, February 24, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers on Wednesday shot a Palestinian youth near Gush Etzion settlement bloc, on Hebron-Bethlehem road, according to Israeli media sources.

Sources claimed a Palestinian man, who remains unidentified, stabbed an Israeli soldier near Etzion, causing critical injuries, before other soldiers opened live fire at the man and injured him.

The man, who carried out the attack, has reportedly sustained moderate injuries and was transferred to Shaare Zedek medical center, said media sources.

At least 180 Palestinians have been killed and over 15,200 others injured by Israeli forces since the start of the unrest in the occupied Palestinian territories in early October 2015, according to the Ministry of Health.
