Arab League condemns Netanyahu's statements on so-called "Greater Israel"

EGYPT, August 13, 2025 (WAFA) - The General Secretariat of the Arab League has condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statements regarding the seizure of parts of the territories of sovereign Arab states to establish the so-called vision of "Greater Israel".

In a statement on Wednesday, the General Secretariat considered these statements a violation of the sovereignty of Arab states and an attempt to undermine security and stability in the region.

The General Secretariat of the Arab League stressed that these statements constitute a serious threat to collective Arab national security and a serious challenge to international law and the principles of international legitimacy.

It stated that these remarks reflect expansionist and aggressive intentions that cannot be accepted or tolerated, revealing an extremist mindset steeped in colonial illusions.

The statement urged the international community, represented by the UN Security Council, to fulfill its responsibility and respond decisively to these extremist statements, which destabilize the region and fuel hatred and rejection of the occupying state.
