RAMALLAH, August 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese affirmed that Israel's policy of starvation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip constitutes a "war crime."
In a press interview on Wednesday, he expressed his deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He said that the starvation and loss of life resulting from Israel's genocidal war in the besieged Gaza Strip is "completely unacceptable."
He added that "Israel's actions are unjustifiable," and that the restrictions imposed on the flow of humanitarian aid since last March have created a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
Albanese underscored, "People are suffering tremendously from hunger and loss of life. We are seeing people killed while trying to access food and water. This is completely unacceptable."
The Australian Prime Minister stressed that "what is happening in Gaza is an affront to human dignity and values."
