RAMALLAH, August 13, 2025 (WAFA) - The Presidency slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements on the so-called “Greater Israel” vision as contrary to international legitimacy resolutions and international law, and as a violation of the sovereignty of states and the region’s security and stability.
The Presidency rejected and condemned the statements by the Prime Minister of the occupation government, describing them as a provocation and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region, stemming from the occupation state’s expansionist colonial policies and its refusal to respect the sovereignty of states and international agreements governing relations between them.
The Presidency, in a statement, stressed that the State of Palestine is committed to what has been approved by international legitimacy and international law on the establishment of the independent State of Palestine on the borders of 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement strongly rejected these remarks, which disregard the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people affirmed by the international community in the New York Declaration, as well as the announcements of many European countries and other major world powers expressing their readiness to recognize the State of Palestine.
The statement emphasized that the Palestinian people, while steadfast on their land, reject any infringement on the land or sovereignty of any Arab state, just as they reject the displacement and genocidal war being waged against them.
