UPDATE: Israel Detains 28 Palestinians in West Bank

HEBRON, December 1, 2015 (WAFA) – At least 28 Palestinians were detained on Tuesday by Israeli forces from across the West Bank districts, including six from Jerusalem, mostly during predawn and night raids, according to security sources and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Club (PPC).

Israeli forces stormed the city of Hebron and the nearby town of Yatta in the West Bank and detained 11 Palestinians after raiding their homes. They were identified Rami Sharif, Ayman Ayyash, 18, anas Rabe’, Adham Rabe’, 22, Kayed Rabe’, 22, Mohammed As-Shwahin, 27, Abdel-Rahim al-Basit, 21, and brothers Samer, 18, and Tha’er Salhab, 20, in addition to two other brothers identified as Hussam and Sadiq Zaloum.

Forces further detained a female identified as Diana al-Rajabi, from Hebron city, at Abu al-Rish Israeli military checkpoint, near Hebron’s al-Ibrahimi mosque.

Forces also stormed the town of Taffuh, west of Hebron, and searched several homes, but there were no reports of arrests.

Meanwhile in Jenin, in northern West Bank, army broke into the city and the nearby refugee camp, where they detained Islam Azayzeh, 22, Lo’ai Bali, 19, and Tamer Nasharti, 19.

Army also detained Sakher Ateeq, 20, a Palestinian from nearby Burqin village.

In the meantime, Israeli soldiers detained a Palestinian identified as Mohammad Bahash, at Huwwara Israeli military checkpoint to the south of Nablus.

Soldiers also detained a young girl identified as Sabrin Sanad, 14,  at the entrance of al-Khader village near Bethlehem. She was taken to an unknown destination.

Forces further detained Anas Bakeer from the town of Azzoun to the east of Qalqilia.

In Ramallah, Israeli soldiers detained two Palestinians identified as Omar Aby Aliya, 23, and Tala’at Hammed from the town of Silwad.

In Tulkarem, forces detained Haytham Edwan from the town of Faroun.

Meanwhile in Jerusalem, at least six Palestinians were detained by Israeli police. They were identified as Noor Obaid, Yazan A. Obaid, Mohammed M. Obaid, Majdi Abu Tayeh, and brothers Mohammed and Salameh Gh. Obaid.
