GAZA, May 11, 2025 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces continued their deadly assaults across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, killing several Palestinians and injuring others in multiple targeted attacks.
Medical sources reported that one Palestinian was killed and several others wounded when an Israeli drone strike hit a group of civilians in the Al-Bassa area, west of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, an Israeli airstrike near the Taiba Towers killed a man and his son.
Meanwhile, Israeli artillery shelled a group of civilians in the eastern part of Jabalia refugee camp, in the Azbet Abdel Rabbo area, killing a child and seriously injuring another.
In central Gaza, the body of a Palestinian was recovered from the eastern side of Al-Bureij refugee camp following an airstrike by Israeli warplanes the previous day.
Medical sources have so far confirmed a total of 16 Palestinians killed, including five children, resulting from Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip since early Sunday morning.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 52,829 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 119,554 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
