RAMALLAH,
November 30, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli army forces detained more than 900
Palestinians during November 2015, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Club
(PPC).
In
a report released Monday, PPC addressed the most prominent incidents,
statistics and violations in relation to Palestinian prisoners during November,
2015.
Israel
detained 914 Palestinians during November, including 29 young girls and a woman,
40% of which are children, bringing the number of detainees since the beginning
of the recent unrest early October to roughly 2,500 detainees.
PPC
said Israel detained 280 Palestinians from Hebron, 250 from Jerusalem, 100 from
Nablus, 70 from Ramallah, al-Bireh and Bethlehem, 50 from Qalqilya, 45 from
Jenin, 24 from Tulkarem, 20 from Jericho and five from Tubas.
PPC
added that the number of administrative detainees increased to reach 630
prisoners including Georgin Qadah from Ramallah and Asma
Hamdan from Nazareth in addition to 30 prisoners from Jerusalem.
Israel
detained 400 minors, under the age of 18, including four girls who were locked
up in several prisons including Ofer, Hasharon, Megiddo and Hazafon.
The
number of female prisoners reached 39 including 32 in Hashron, four of which
are minors including: Jehan Eriqat, 17, Istabraq Nour, 15, Marah Bakir, 16 and
Nourhan Awad, 14.
The
number of prisoners in Ramla prison clinic reached 23 prisoners. In October
2015, Israel detained six injured Palestinians who are still detained in
hospitals, including: Ali Alqam, 11, from Jerusalem, Nourhan Awad, 14, from
Qalandia refugee camp, Azzam al-Shalalda from Hebron, Hilwa Hamamra from
Bethlehem, Hamada Atawna from Jericho and Azmi Nefa’ from Jenin.
