RAMALLAH, November 30, 2015 (WAFA) – The fatal shooting of two Palestinians by Israeli forces following an alleged stabbing attack near Damascus Gate in Jerusalem and during night clashes in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ras al-‘Amud hit the front page headlines in Palestinian dailies.

The dailies reported that two Palestinians were fatally shot by Israeli forces in Jerusalem. Al-Ayyam explained that one Palestinian was shot dead following an alleged stabbing attack in Jerusalem.

It is worth noting in this regard that Baseem ‘Abdul-Rahman Salah, 38, from Nablus was shot dead after allegedly stabbing and injuring an Israeli border guard in Jerusalem. Ayman Sameeh ‘Abbasi, 17, was also shot dead by Israeli police Sunday night during clashes in Ras al’Amud neighborhood.

Covering Israeli forces’ tightened restrictions’ and continued aggression against Palestinians, al-Ayyam reported that dozens of Palestinians were shot and injured by Israeli forces during clashes that broke out across several West Bank districts.

Al-Quds and al-Ayyam added in this regard that a Palestinian National Security officer was shot and injured by Israeli forces near Ramallah.

Furthermore, al-Quds reported in its main front page news item that a Palestinian young man from Hebron was detained by Israeli police following an alleged  stabbing attack in West Jerusalem. Al-Ayyam printed a photo for the man being detained by army soldiers from a construction site.

Following initial media reports indicating that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was weighing up the possibility of “handing over” 40,000 dunums in West Bank’s Area C for the PA in order to restore calm, al-Ayyam reported Netanyahu as stressing that “not even one meter” would be handed over to the PA.

Netanyahu was further reported in al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida as seeking to advance Jewish nation-state bill.
