RAMALLAH, July 30, 2026 (WAFA) — President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday awarded Pedro Blanco Pérez, head of the Representative Office of the United Mexican States, the Star of Friendship of the Order of President Mahmoud Abbas.

The award was presented during a meeting at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah marking the conclusion of Blanco Pérez's diplomatic mission in the Palestinian territory.

President Abbas awarded the Star of Friendship in recognition of Blanco Pérez's role in strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation between the State of Palestine and the United Mexican States, and in appreciation of his efforts to support the Palestinian people and their pursuit of freedom and independence.

The meeting was attended by the president's diplomatic affairs adviser, Majdi Al-Khalidi.
