RAMALLAH, July 22, 2026 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday congratulated Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the 74th anniversary of the July 23 Revolution.
In a congratulatory cable, President Abbas extended his sincere congratulations to President El-Sisi on the occasion, wishing the Republic of Egypt and its people further progress and prosperity.
He praised the longstanding Palestinian-Egyptian fraternal relations, commending Egypt for its steadfast positions under the leadership of President El-Sisi in providing humanitarian assistance and helping alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
He also lauded Egypt's continued support for the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights and its ongoing efforts to advance the Palestinian cause and promote security and stability in the region, leading to the realization of an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The 74th anniversary of the July 23 Revolution, a historic turning point that transformed the nation and laid the foundation for the modern Republic of Egypt.
