RAMALLAH, 19 April 2026 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday evening received at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah members of the preparatory committee for the eighth conference of the Fatah movement.
The President was briefed on the ongoing preparations for the conference, stressing the need to complete all arrangements to hold it on its scheduled date of May 14, 2026.
President Abbas underlined the importance of adhering to the movement’s internal regulations, approved standards, and membership conditions. It was agreed that the preparatory committee will submit all conference-related files to the President next Thursday for approval.
