RAMALLAH, April 3, 2026 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday issued a decision forming an investigation committee into the death of former prisoner Riyad Al-Amour.
Al-Amour, 56, a resident of Bethlehem who had been exiled to Egypt, passed away after a prolonged struggle with illness as a result of medical negligence policies in Israeli prisons.
President Abbas ordered the formation of the committee to investigate medical liability in connection with Al-Amour’s death.
