RAMALLAH, March 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas extended heartfelt congratulations to the Palestinian people, both at home and in the diaspora, as well as to the Arab and Islamic nations, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

He expressed hope that the occasion would return with the Palestinian people having achieved aspirations for freedom, independence, and the establishment of their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He also wished that the Arab and Islamic nations would see their peoples' aspirations for progress, prosperity, security and peace fulfilled.

Abbas further expressed that the occasion would grant the Arab and Islamic nations security and stability, reaffirming the State of Palestine's position of standing in solidarity with the Gulf States, Jordan, and the countries facing Iranian attacks, as well as with Lebanon, which is facing brutal Israeli drone strikes. 

He voiced his complete rejection of any attacks or violations that undermine the sovereignty of these countries and threaten their security and stability.
