RAMALLAH, March 19, 2026 (WAFA) – President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas held a phone call  on Thursday with King Abdullah II, during which they discussed the latest developments on the Palestinian and regional scene.

President Abbas and King Abdullah II exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. Abbas expressed his best wishes to the king and the Jordanian people for continued progress and prosperity, praying for blessings and well-being for the Arab and Islamic nations.

For his part, King Abdullah II expressed hope that  the occasion would occasion with the aspirations of the Palestinian people for freedom and independence fulfilled.
