Thousands perform Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque amid tight Israeli restrictions

JERUSALEM, November 14, 2025 (WAFA) – Thousands of Palestinians performed the Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem today, despite the tight military restrictions imposed by Israeli occupation forces on access to the holy site.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces deployed extensively within the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as at the Damascus Gate and al-Sahira Gate, and along the path to the Friday market. The Israeli soldiers stopped several young worshipers and prevented them from reaching the mosque, setting up metal barricades and intensifying their restrictions.

The forces carried out identity checks, scrutinizing personal identification cards and creating significant obstacles for worshippers attempting to attend the prayers.
