Israeli forces continue aggression on Tulkarm and Nour Shams for 26th consecutive day

TULKARM, February 21, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces are continuing their military assault on the city of Tulkarm and its refugee camp for the 26th consecutive day, and on the nearby Nour Shams refugee camp for the 13th day, deploying additional reinforcements and causing extensive destruction to homes and civilian properties.

In Nour Shams refugee camp, Israeli forces have inflicted widespread devastation on homes and shops, particularly in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood, where they also set fire to a residential building. The assault has caused severe damage to infrastructure, including water, electricity, and communication networks.

Residents who managed to enter the camp reported shocking levels of destruction, with houses reduced to rubble and entire neighborhoods in ruins. Among the damaged buildings was the Nour Shams Association for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled, which provides vital humanitarian and social programs for people with disabilities in the camp and the city.

Meantime, eyewitnesses described the scene in Al-Manshiya neighborhood as beyond comprehension, with houses torn apart, some completely demolished, burned vehicles scattered in the alleys, and looted or vandalized shops. Explosions and destruction marks are evident across every corner of the camp, which now lies in a catastrophic state.

Simultaneously, Israeli occupation forces continued their raids on homes in Nour Shams camp, ransacking properties, interrogating residents, and detaining them for hours.

In Tulkarm refugee camp, destruction spread across its neighborhoods, where Israeli bulldozers demolished more than 14 houses over the past two days, leaving behind piles of debris. The ongoing military escalation appears to be part of a plan to open a new road in the camp at the expense of local residents' homes.

Several houses were also set ablaze, while others suffered severe damage, alongside the complete destruction of the camp’s infrastructure.

Similarly, in the eastern district of Tulkarm city, Israeli forces vandalized and occupied residential buildings, converting them into military outposts.
