GAZA, February 9, 2025 (WAFA) – Medical sources reported on Sunday that the number of fatalities in the Gaza Strip has risen to 48,189 since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023. The majority of those killed are women and children.

According to the sources, the total number of injuries has reached 111,640, with thousands of victims still trapped under the rubble.

The sources also mentioned that eight victims were brought to hospitals in Gaza during the last 24 hours, including seven whose bodies were retrieved and one new fatality. Furthermore, two new injuries were reported over the past 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli assault on the region.
