Israeli forces continue assault on Tammoun town and al-Far'a camp for sixth consecutive day

TUBAS, February 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continue their military assault on the town of Tammoun and the Al-Far'a refugee camp in the northern West Bank province of Tubas for the sixth consecutive day.

According to WAFA correspondent, Israeli troops raided several homes in both areas last night, destroying property and subjecting residents to field interrogations and provocative home searches.

Additionally, the Israeli military has reinforced its presence in the region, intensifying destruction of infrastructure, roads, and private property. The main and side entrances to the town of Tammoun and Al-Far'a refugee camp, as well as the southern entrance to Tubas city, remain blocked.

Tammoun has been under curfew for the past two days, while movement in Al-Far'a camp has come to a halt due to the widespread deployment of Israeli soldiers in its streets and alleyways.

The director of the Palestinian Prisoners Society in Tubas, Kamal Bani Odeh, reported that since the beginning of the assault, Israeli forces have arrested 71 people, including women and young men, most of them from Tammoun. Simultaneously, the Israeli occupation continues its campaign of detentions, field interrogations, home raids, and property destruction.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces are deliberately obstructing the work of medical and press teams in both the town and the refugee camp. The ongoing siege has led to shortages of essential medicines, particularly for individuals with chronic illnesses, as well as food supplies for many families.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue to shell several areas in Tammoun, though no casualties have been reported.

In a related development, the Israeli army has kept the nearby Tayasir military checkpoint, east of Tubas, closed for the third consecutive day, preventing movement of Palestinian commuters.
