JORDAN VALLEY, February, 6 2024 (WAFA) – Extremist Israeli colonists established a new colonial outpost east of the Tayasir military checkpoint, in the northern Jordan Valley.

Human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh reported that colonists placed a trellis east of the Tayasir military checkpoint and brought a number of cows to the area, amid fears that it would later be turned into a colonial outpost.

There are now more than eight colonial outposts in the northern Jordan Valley, most of which are pastoral in nature, through which colonists seize thousands of dunams of pastoral land.

A report by the Wall and Settlement Authority indicated that colonists have attempted to establish 10 new colonial outposts since the beginning of last January, most of which are agricultural and pastoral in nature.
