TULKARM, February 3, 2025 (WAFA) - The Israeli aggression on the city of Tulkarm and its camp entered its ninth day, as the occupation forces continue to raid and vandalize homes, expel residents, destroy infrastructure, and detain young men.
WAFA correspondent said that the occupation forces continued throughout last night to send more military reinforcements to the city and its camp, and to deploy infantry soldiers in various neighborhoods and alleys, during which searches and combing operations were carried out, while also continuing to seize commercial and residential buildings in the center of the city, its camp, and its surroundings, turning them into military outposts and sniper locations.
She added that the occupation forces continue to raid citizens' homes, vandalize their contents and expel their owners by force and under threat of arms, so that the central area of the camp has become empty of its residents, in addition to entire neighborhoods.
Meanwhile, residents continued to be forcibly expelled from their homes in the camp by the occupation forces, amid the efforts of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society crews, who were able to evacuate two elderly women from Al-Matar neighborhood who suffer from chronic diseases and difficulty walking.
The appeals of the remaining citizens inside the camp continue, to save them, especially the elderly, the sick and children, and to provide their basic needs in light of the difficult humanitarian situation left by the aggression, including a tight siege and the interruption of electricity, water, communications and the Internet after the destruction of the infrastructure by the occupation bulldozers.
The Governor of Tulkarm, Abdullah Kamil, stated yesterday that the occupation forces forced more than 75% of the residents of Tulkarm camp to be forcibly displaced from the camp, during the ongoing aggression On it, and that there are approximately 9 thousand citizens who were forced to flee the camp in this unprecedented aggression on the governorate.
Yesterday, a girl aged 13 years old was injured by shrapnel in the chest fired by the occupation snipers, and she was transferred to the hospital.
In addition, the occupation forces detained a number of young men last night after raiding homes in the suburbs of the city.
Eyewitnesses told WAFA that a young man arrived at the emergency room suffering from a health problem, but the occupation forces stormed the emergency department and prevented the medical staff from examining him.
They interrogated him while he was on the hospital bed and then detained him immediately, noting that he had been injured by shrapnel in the head during a previous bombing by the occupation air force on Tulkarm camp in 2023.
The occupation forces also detained a woman who was with a patient in an ambulance from the Red Crescent Society that was heading to the Martyr Thabet Governmental Hospital, and subjected her to field investigation before releasing her.
Late last night, the occupation forces detained a volunteer paramedic from the Red Crescent Society from inside the ambulance while he was transporting a sick case to the hospital, and subjected him to field interrogation for hours before releasing him.
It is noteworthy that the occupation forces impose a tight siege on the Martyr Thabet Governmental Hospital and the Israa Specialized Hospital, obstructing the work of ambulances, medical staff and patients, and subjecting them to search and field investigation.
In addition, the heavy occupation bulldozers razed Yasser Arafat Street, which is the beginning of Nablus Street that connects the city center to the northern entrance of the camp, and caused destruction to the infrastructure and the stalls of the citizens selling in the place.
