RAMALLAH, February 1, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces intensified their restrictions on movement on Saturday in several areas of the Ramallah Governorate, in the central West Bank, by setting up military checkpoints and closing gates, causing significant disruptions for Palestinian commuters.
According to Palestinian security sources, Israeli forces erected a military checkpoint at the entrance to the city of Rawabi, northwest of Ramallah. Additionally, strict measures were enforced at the Ein Siniya checkpoint to the north, leading to heavy congestion as vehicles were thoroughly inspected upon entry and exit.
The sources also confirmed that a military checkpoint was set up at the entrance to the town of Aboud, northwest of Ramallah, resulting in severe traffic delays. Meanwhile, Israeli forces closed the gate to the village of Nabi Saleh, forcing residents to take long detours to reach alternative routes.
Furthermore, soldiers set up another checkpoint at the entrance of Nabi Saleh, obstructing the movement of Palestinian citizens, searching vehicles, and inspecting passengers' identification cards.
These intensified military measures have caused significant disruptions for residents, restricting their movement and complicating daily life in the affected areas.
