Israeli forces storm wedding hall in Hebron, hold groom

HEBRON, January 31, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Friday stormed a wedding hall in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron and held the groom, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that the occupying soldiers barged their way into the wedding hall in the city, spreading panic among children and women, and held the groom, a member of the Abu Turki family, for almost two hours before releasing him.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces conducted a raid in Marda village, north of Salfit, where they ransacked several houses, briefly held several young men, and interrogated them.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without a search warrant whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
