Presidential spokesman says U.S. Administration is responsible for ongoing genocidal war in Gaza

RAMALLAH, October 28, 2024 (WAFA) - Presidential spokesman, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, held the US administration responsible for the continuation of the occupation’s genocidal war, which led on Tuesday to the killing of more than 90 civilians in the northern Gaza Strip, mostly women and children. The US administration bears responsibility for its continuing political, military and financial support to the occupation, he stressed.

The presidential spokesperson stated that the Israeli occupation is perpetrating additional massacres against the Palestinian people, exacerbated by a lack of international accountability for its actions, largely due to support from the United States.

He urged the US administration to compel Israel to adhere to resolutions of international legitimacy and international law, calling for an end to the violent aggression that has claimed the lives of thousands, including children, women and the elderly. This ongoing conflict has also led to the destruction of hospitals and shelters, in clear violation of international conventions and treaties, he said.

He noted that the international community's failure to hold the occupation accountable and to halt its aggression has led the region to the brink of explosive conflict. “A situation we have repeatedly warned against.”

Abu Rudeineh emphasized that the region will remain trapped in a cycle of violence and instability without a just resolution to the Palestinian issue, in line with Arab and international legitimacy, including matters concerning Jerusalem and refugees.

He reiterated that history will not overlook those complicit in these Israeli crimes.
