BEIRUT, October 14, 2024 (WAFA) - Twenty-one people were killed and eight others were injured in Israeli airstrikes that targeted a residential building housing displaced persons in the town of Aitou, in the Zgharta district of northern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Red Cross announced in a post on X that 21 people were killed and eight others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in Aitou Aitou The building served as a shelter for many families who fled their homes to escape the escalating Israeli bombardment in southern Lebanon.
As of Sunday evening, Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon have claimed the lives of 1,539 individuals and injured 4,471 others, including a significant number of women and children. Additionally, over 1.34 million people have been displaced, according to official Lebanese statistics.
