BERUIT, October, 1, 2024 (WAFA) – Six Lebanese, the majority of whom are children, were killed and others were injured this morning in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon.
Anatolia reported that Israeli warplanes bombed a house in the densely populated Al-Manshiya neighborhood in the Ain al-Hilweh camp, killing six civilians, including three children.
This is the first time the Israeli occupation has targeted the Ain al-Hilweh camp since its aggression against Lebanon.
The bombing coincided with the Israeli occupation army announcing the start of a ground military operation in southern Lebanon.
Earlier yesterday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the raids on Lebanon within 24 hours had reached 95 civilians and 172 wounded.
