17-year-old boy injured by Israeli gunfire in Balata refugee camp

NABLUS, Sunday, July 28, 2024 (WAFA) – A 17-year-old boy was injured by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire last night in the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, according to medical sources.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that its teams managed to transport the injured boy to the hospital after facing delays caused by Israeli forces, who fired at ambulance vehicles during the incident.

Local sources also reported that Israeli forces surrounded a house in the camp and fired a shoulder-fired rocket at it. No injuries or arrests were reported following this attack. Additionally, Israeli bulldozers demolished parts of the Al-Arayshi Mall within the camp.

This marks the fourth time Israeli forces have raided the Balata refugee camp in the past 24 hours. The raids have been accompanied by heavy gunfire, the presence of snipers, and the arrival of additional reinforcements along with a bulldozer.

Since October 7, 2023, a total of 591 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli occupation forces, including 143 children, according to the Ministry of Health.
