RAMALLAH, Wednesday, December 14, 2022 (WAFA) - The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during November recorded a decrease of 0.36% compared with October due to a decrease in prices of fresh chicken, fresh vegetables and fruits, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The decrease was by 0.57% in Gaza Strip, 0.33% in the West Bank, and 0.17% in Jerusalem.
The Palestinian CPI during the first 11 months of this year increased by 3.71% compared with the same period of the previous year and was by 4.62% in Jerusalem, 3.70% in the West Bank, and by 3.19% in the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian CPI during November 2022 increased by 4.30% compared with November 2021, an increase of 5.16% in Jerusalem, 4.29% in the West Bank, and 3.78% in the Gaza Strip.
The changes in Palestinian CPI during November 2022 were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure subgroups compared with the previous month:
