Al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida highlighted the army crackdown as their main front-page story, while al-Quds made the Ukraine crisis its main front-page story.

The dailies reported on the army attacks on the protests in Hebron, Beita, and Kufr Qaddoum and said an Israeli settler opened fire and injured several Palestinians in Hebron.

They also said Israeli police attacked a joint Palestinian-Israeli protest against the eviction of Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem and detained several people.

Al-Quds said the residents of Jabal al-Mukabber neighborhood of East Jerusalem continued their activities against the demolition of their homes by the Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem under the pretext of construction without a permit.

It said 70,000 Muslim worshippers attended the early morning and Friday noon prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida quoted the economy minister saying that there is no shortage in flour supplies in Palestine.

It quoted Hussein al-Sheikh, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, saying in a tweet: “When international legitimacy is violated by two standards, justice is lost, rights are destroyed, and power has become tyranny.”
