RAMALLAH, Thursday, February 3, 2022 (WAFA) – Palestine today recorded 7,934 new Covid-19 cases and six deaths, according to Health Minister Mai Alkaila.

She announced that 7,934 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus and six others died of it in the occupied territories.

As part of the 7,934 new cases, 4,613 cases were registered in the West Bank and 3,321 others in the Gaza Strip.

She identified the death cases three residents of the West Bank and three others of the Gaza Strip.

She added that 3,477 Covid-19 patients recovered; 3,227 recovery cases in the West Bank and 250 others in the Gaza Strip.

She pointed that 88 Covid-19 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units and 224 others are currently receiving treatment at hospitals, including 27 who are on ventilators.

She said that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 85.5 percent and the active cases account for 13.3 percent. The death toll accounted for 0.09 percent of total infections.
