Palestine records 438 new Covid-19 cases, eight deaths

 

RAMALLAH, Monday, October 25, 2021 (WAFA) – Palestine today confirmed 438 new Covid-19 cases and eight death cases, according to Health Minister Mai Alkaila.

She announced that 438 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus and eight others died of it in the occupied territories.

As part of the 438 new cases, 124 cases were registered in the West Bank and 314 others in the Gaza Strip.

She identified the death cases as three residents of the West Bank and five others from the Gaza Strip.

She added that 1,095 Covid-19 patients recovered; 212 recovery cases in the West Bank and 883 others in the Gaza Strip.

She pointed that 61 Covid-19 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units and 99 others are currently receiving treatment at hospitals and Covid-19 dispensaries, including 14 who are intubated.

She said that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 97.2 percent and the active cases account for 1.8 percent. The death toll stood at 1 percent of total infections.
