RAMALLAH, Saturday, August 29, 2020 (WAFA) – A young woman was announced dead today after she was unintentionally shot by gunmen who were shooting in the air in celebration of a wedding in al-Amaari refugee camp, near Ramallah city in the West Bank, according to a police statement.
Col. Lo’ai Rzekat, police spokesman, said the young woman had arrived at Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah in a critical condition, but was announced dead of her wounds a couple of minutes later. The woman’s sister was too injured in the hand during the incident.
The two sisters were standing on the balcony of their home near the wedding where the shooting took place the moment they were injured, added the police spokesman.
