Journalists Syndicate: Killing of journalist Ahmad Abu Eisha a new crime in Israel’s war on truth

GAZA, July 10, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has condemned the Israeli occupation’s killing of journalist Ahmad Abu Eisha, correspondent for Palestine Today TV, in a drone attack in the Gaza Strip, calling it a deliberate and criminal act by the Israeli occupation aimed at silencing the truth.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the syndicate said that Abu Eisha was directly targeted by Israeli drone fire while standing in front of his home west of Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. He was killed instantly in a "clear and deliberate crime against an unarmed journalist fulfilling his professional and national duty."

The syndicate accused Israel of pursuing a calculated policy of targeting journalists and media institutions in direct violation of international humanitarian law, which guarantees protection for media professionals in conflict zones.

It called for urgent international action and urged the International Criminal Court to hold Israeli leaders accountable for crimes against journalists. “Palestinian journalists have become targets simply for doing their job — conveying the truth to the world,” the statement said.
