JERUSALEM, November 8, 2012 (WAFA) – Seven Palestinians were injured and two others were arrested late Wednesday night during confrontations that erupted between Palestinians and Israeli police in Ein al-Lozah area in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, according to a local activist.
Mahmoud Qaraeen from the Wadi Hilweh Information Center told WAFA that confrontations erupted during a celebration to welcome the release of prisoner Mohammad Odeh.
He added forces fired tear gas canisters and rubber bullets at the participants, causing the suffocation of seven Palestinians due to gas inhalation.
He said that under cover Israeli police arrested two Palestinians.
