JERUSALEM, June 3, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained two Palestinians on Friday while dispersing worshippers performing Friday prayers in neighborhoods of occupied Jerusalem.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate, Israeli forces detained Ali Jabarin after delivering Friday sermon in the Al-Musrara area, and Muneeb Abu Tir after he left prayers at Saad and Saeed Mosque near Damascus Gate.
The detentions come as Palestinians in Jerusalem have been holding Friday prayers in the streets and areas surrounding the Old City, following the continued closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which has prevented worshippers from accessing the site.
