Yatta Municipality Community Centre and the Dynamometer Station were funded by the Italian Government through the Palestinian Municipalities Support Program (PMSP), which aims at strengthening Palestinian Municipalities in providing better services to local citizens.

The community centre will provide services to the most marginalized groups, particularly people with disabilities, while the Dynamometer Station represents the incoming generating project that will provide resources for sustaining the community centre activities.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Palestinian Minister of Local Government, Khaled Qawasmi, the Hebron Governor, Kamel Hemid and the Mayor of Yatta, Zahran Abu Qbeita.

Yatta Community Centre is one of the six municipality centres included in the Social Development Strategy designed by PMSP in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Local Government (MoLG), Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) and in partnership with Italian Municipalities, added the press release.

The Italian Government has granted to the Social Development Sector through PMSP 3.000.000, the Palestinian Municipalities have contributed with 360.000, and the Italian Local Authorities have donated 150.000.
