RAMALLAH, May 10, 2011 (WAFA) - From 16th to 20th of June, 120 children from five neighboring villages from Nablus District (Awarta, Aqraba, Odala, Osarin and Beita) met together with the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) in Beita School for the 'Young Police Summer Camp 2012,' Thursday said an EUPOL COPPS press release.
The overall event was organized by the PCP as part of its strategy concerning Police Awareness reinforcing the community policing initiative. It is a result of a pilot project sponsored by EUPOL COPPS’ Small Projects fund with the support of the South Nablus Education Directorate.
On the last day, certificates and medals were handed out to the children in the presence of the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) Head of Public Relations and Media Department, Lieutenant Colonel Mansour Khuzeimeyeh, the Nablus District Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Omar Bzour, the Director of Education, Professor Mohammad Awwada and the EUPOL COPPS Deputy Head of Mission, Sofie Mortier.
