Settlers Hold Religious Rituals at Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus

NABLUS, April 24, 2012 (WAFA) – Hundreds of Jewish settlers held religious rituals early Tuesday as Joseph’s Tomb, inside the Palestinian Authority-controlled city of Nablus in the north of the West Bank, according to security sources.

They told WAFA the Israeli army provided security cover to around 1200 settlers who arrived in several buses to Joseph’s Tomb where they performed Jewish rituals and prayers.

The settlers later left the area without incident.

Entry of settlers to that area is normally coordinated between the Palestinian and Israeli sides to avoid any serious confrontations between them.
