BEIRUT, April 17, 2026 (WAFA) – A Lebanese citizen was killed on Friday evening after Israeli occupation aircraft targeted a motorcycle he was riding in the town of Kounin in Bint Jbeil, in violation of the ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump on Thursday.

The Lebanese News Agency, citing the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, reported that the cumulative, non-final toll of Israeli occupation aggression on Lebanon since March 2 has reached 2,294 killed and 7,544 injured.

According to the ministry’s daily report issued by the Public Health Emergency Operations Center, the overall toll includes 100 killed among paramedics and health workers, in addition to 233 injured.

It noted that the final toll will be announced after the completion of rubble removal, the recovery of bodies from under the debris, and the completion of necessary identification procedures.
